Answers to Common Questions

  • How do I get started? Simply send an email to chris@GahannaVideoPros.com to schedule an appointment to meet in-person to deliver your reels of film. Please feel free to provide your phone number in your intial email if you would prefer to discuss your project goals over the phone. I will call you back as soon as possible (usually same-day). We no longer operate in a storefront so appointments to meet are necessary. Also, we no longer transfer video tapes, we only transfer round reels of motion picture film (8mm, Super 8 and 16mm).

  • What is your turn-around time? Turn-around times vary based on how many projects we have in-house and the size of your project. We can usually complete projects fairly quickly. We can provide a better estimate when we learn about your exact project goals.

  • Do you complete all work in-house? Yes, we complete all work in-house. Your family home movie film reels will never be lost in the mail when working with Gahanna Video Pros.

  • Can I purchase additional DVD copies or USB Flash Drives for digital files? Yes, additional DVD copies can be purchased for $5 each. If you would like additional USB Flash Drives for your AVI and MP4 digital files, these drives can be purchased for $15 each.

  • Regarding payment, do I leave a deposit? No deposit is required. We will create an invoice when the project is done and payment can be made when you pick up your completed project. We accept personal check or cash.

  • Do you transfer all types of media like video tapes, slides, photos, audio cassette tapes, vinyl records? We only transfer round reels of consumer motion picture film (8mm, silent Super 8 and 16mm). We no longer transfer video tape formats. We do not scan photographs or slides nor do we transfer audio cassette tapes, reel-to-reel audio, vinyl records, etc.
